Google’s servers were down for a good part of the day today. This resulted in many people being unable to access their email, docs, or any other Google service. According to Google, they were aware of the issue and were doing everything possible to fix it. Unfortunately, a lot of people were left frustrated by the lack of communication from Google about what was going on. Many took to social media to express their anger at not being able to access their email during a time when most needed it. Hopefully this will be a wake up call for Google and they will improve their communication with users in the event of an outage like this happening again.

What causes the there was a problem communicating with google servers error?

There are a number of reasons why you might see the “There was a problem communicating with Google servers” error message. It could be due to a temporary issue with your internet connection, or it could be caused by a problem with your device’s date and time settings. In some cases, the error can also be caused by an outdated version of the Google Play Services app. If you see this error message, the first thing you should do is check your internet connection and make sure that your device is connected to a stable network. If the problem persists, try restarting your device and setting the date and time to automatic. If that doesn’t work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Google Play Services app.

Disable 2-Step Authentication and Clear Cache

Follow these steps to disable 2-Step Authentication and clear your cache:

    1. On your computer, open Chrome.
    2. At the top right, click More More and then Settings.
    3. Under “People,” click Sign in to Chrome.
    4. Click Disconnect your Google Account.
    5. In the “Sign in” section, next to “2-Step Verification,” click Edit.
    6. Follow the instructions to turn off 2-Step Verification.
    7. Close all tabs and restart Chrome.
    8. On your computer, open Chrome.
    9. Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete simultaneously on your keyboard (Windows) or Command + Shift + Delete (Mac).
    10. In the dialog that appears, select “All time” as your time range and check the boxes for “Cookies and other site data” and “Cached images and files.”
    11. Click Clear data at the bottom of the page. Close all tabs and restart Chrome again.”

    Reinstall Google Play Services

Google Play Services is an essential component of the Android operating system. It provides access to the Google Play Store, Google’s official app store, as well as a variety of other Google services. However, it can occasionally become corrupted or disabled, which can cause problems with using the Play Store or other Google services. If you’re experiencing such issues, the best course of action is to uninstall and then reinstall Google Play Services. This will restore the app to its original state and should fix any problems you’re having. Keep in mind that this will also remove any data associated with Google Play Services, so be sure to back up any important data before proceeding.

    Update Host Files

The hosts file is a text file that maps hostnames to IP addresses. When you type a hostname into your web browser, your computer will first check the hosts file to see if there is an entry for that hostname. If there is, it will use the IP address listed in the hosts file instead of looking up the hostname in DNS. This can be useful if you want to block access to a particular website or if you want to redirect traffic from one website to another. For example, you could use the hosts file to block all ads on a website by mapping ads.example.com to 127.0.0.1 (which is the IP address of your local machine). Or you could redirect traffic from one website to another by mapping www.example.com to www.example.org. The hosts file is located in different places on different operating systems: On Windows, it is typically C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts On Mac OS X and Linux, it is typically /etc/hosts You can edit the hosts file with any text editor, but you will need to open it with administrator privileges in order to save your changes. To do this on Windows, right-click on the
